Palu, - PPP Chairman Muhammad Romahurmuziy attended a public lecture as well as a keynote speaker at the Palu State Islamic Institute (IAIN), Central Sulawesi, on Wednesday 11/4.
The public lecture was followed by hundreds of IAIN Palu students with the theme of building millennial character towards strong Indonesia.
"We are happy, because IAIN Palu is visited by one of the youth leaders, national figures of this nation," said Rector IAIN Palu Prof. Dr. H Sagaf S Pettalongi MPd, as he delivered his speech at the college auditorium on Wednesday.
Romahurmuzy is one of the legislative members of the House of Representatives Commission XI of PPP, who has visited the IAIN Palu twice.
Prof. Sagaf Pettalongi stated that the figure, character and academic achievement and career of Rohamurmuzy need to be followed by the students.
"Pak Romi is a talented youth figure, I think he needs to be emulated by students," he said.
This education management expert calls the millennial generation is a generation of productive age that is expected by the state to stabilize its role in economic growth and development.
Not only that, the millennial generation becomes capital for the nation and state, which also increase the competitiveness in the competition of the Asian economic community.
"This generation grew from around the 1990s to the 2000s, which has a variety of characteristics and distinctive features," he said.
Romahurmuzy arrived at Rectorate IAIN Palu accompanied by Chairman of PPP Central Sulawesi Abdul Rahman H Buding, Asgar Juhaepa, Fifi Fairuz Husein Maskati, and Namrud Mado.
The delegation was welcomed by the Rector Prof. Dr. H. Sagaf S Pettalongi and vice rectors Dr. H. Abidin Djafar, Dr. Kamaruddin and Iskandar Nasaruddin, M.Sos.
