Palu, 17/5 (HUMAS IAIN) - Rector of the State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Palu, Central Sulawesi, Prof. Dr. H Sagaf S Pettalongi MPd said his college students were able to compete with other universities.

"Achievements achieved by students while attending various local activities at the provincial level are a measure that IAIN students are able to compete," said Prof Sagaf S Pettalongi MPd, in Palu on Thursday.

Prof. Sagaf Pettalongi appreciated the achievements of students who joined debate competition of information disclosure.

IAIN Palu students occupied two champions of public information disclosure competition among universities in Central Sulawesi.

"I personally and as the Rector of IAIN Palu appreciate the achievements achieved by the students, toward the efforts of developing the good reputation of this institute, and shown the existence of BEM that is able to compete with BEM from various public and private universities," explained Prof. Sagaf Pettalongi.

He further expects the students continuing to create, improving their capacity and ability to compete which positively impact to the development of IAIN Palu.

The Central Sulawesi Information Commission (KI) in collaboration with Sikola Mombine Non-Governmental Organization selects students as information disclosure ambassadors in the area.

Chairman of KI Central Sulawesi, Irfan D Pontoh proposed the selection of students' information disclosure enforcement, conducted by debate competition.

"The debate is conducted as a selection event, to choose the representation of Central Sulawesi following the national level information disclosure debate held by central KI," said Irfan.

He acknowledged that the activities undertaken to commemorate a decade of birth of the Public Information Disclosure Act on 30 April 2008 to 30 April 2018.
