Palu, 14/8 (IAIN Palu Public Relations) - State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Palu, Central Sulawesi, plans to implement Field Experience Practices (PPL) and Real Work Lectures (KKN) twice a year.

"Starting this academic year, PPL and KKN will take place twice" said the Chancellor of IAIN Palu, Prof. Dr. H Sagaf S Pettalongi MPd, in Palu, Tuesday.

Regarding PPL / KKN twice a year, said Prof. Sagaf Pettalongi as a form of institutional efficiency and effectiveness and completion of student study programs in all faculties.

One of the efficiency considerations is the lack of infrastructure facilities owned by IAIN Palu such as the  limited capacity auditorium.

"If the PPL is only once, the auditorium building cannot accommodate students in debriefing and graduation. There are 384 students, only from the Tarbiyah Faculty, what if other faculties are added," he said.

At present, he explained, based on information from the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs that IAIN received new students with a total of 2.005 people.

PPL / KKN twice will also facilitate students. If there are students who do not meet the requirements for PPL and KKN, then there is no need to wait for PPL next year.

"PPL and KKN and graduation twice will facilitate mobility," Prof Sagaf added.

He stated that this was done solely for the efficiency and effectiveness of the program. However, according to him, the plan was too late. Because other universities have held PPL and KKn three times or even four times a year.

Therefore, the PPL / KKN plan twice a year has considered all aspects for the interests of IAIN Palu students.
