Palu, 15/1 - The State Islamic Institute (IAIN) of Palu, Central Sulawesi, orienting the use of the budget in 2019, valued at 131 Billion, was more focused on improving the academic quality of the university.
"The orientation of the use of this budget, first, we focus on improving and developing academic quality," said IAIN Palu Rector Prof. Dr. H. Sagaf S Pettalongi, M.Pd, Tuesday.
Prof. Sagaf Pettalongi stressed that the use of the budget by each institution, does not deviate from the efforts of institutions to improve quality.
"We maximize the focus on improving quality," said Prof. Sagaf Pettalongi.
Furthermore, he said, IAIN Palu focused on improving and re-procurement of campus infrastructure facilities damaged by the tsunami disaster.
The facilities include mobilers, tables, chairs, air-conditioning machines, and computers, laptops. Most of the IAIN Palu mobiles were severely damaged due to the tsunami of Sept. 28 2018.
Worse, after the disaster that Friday evening, the IAIN Palu mobilizer, including tens of millions of money, was looted by irresponsible people.
This Education Management expert said that all officials ranging from deputy chancellors, deans, deputy deans, heads of departments, unit heads and institutions, must strengthen and intensify the program of activities and use the budget that focus on academic quality.
That, he stressed, must be done in a structured manner, with good management and implemented massively.
"It must be even more serious, because all of these activities are led by vice-chancellors, then followed up by the dean, vice dean and so on. So it should not be passive, if it is passive, it is rather difficult," Sagaf said. The Palu IAIN budget ceiling in 2019 is Rp. 13.376 Billion which is distributed to Tarbiyah and Teacher Training Faculties Rp1.675 Billion, Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Economics Rp1.116 Billion, Faculty of Ushuluddin Adab and Da'wah of Rp883.540 Million, Postgraduate Rp1.400 Billion , The Quality Assurance Agency (LPM) of Rp.420.375 Million, Research and Community Service Institution Rp.2.399 Billion.
UPT Library Rp.130.300 Million, UPT Center for Information Technology and Data Rp162.360 Million, UPT Language Development Center Rp.174,202 Million, and UPT Center Mahad Aljami'ah Rp.551.800 Million.
Academic Activities Rp. 2.785 Billion, general administration activities Rp.76.826 Billion, student activities Rp.8.350 Billion, Islamic Education Management Services Rp.389 Million, Salaries and Benefits Rp. 27.574 Billion and Operational office maintenance Rp.6.535 Billion.
In 2018, IAIN Palu budget ceiling amounted to Rp. 67.551 Billion, the realization was Rp.63.277 Billion. Thus the remaining budget was Rp. 4.273 Billion.
