Sigi, Central Sulawesi, - General Director of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Kamaruddin Amin inaugurated three-story two lecture buildings at the Palu State Institute of Islamic Studies (IAIN) in Pombewe Village, Biromaru Subdistrict, Sigi Regency, on Friday.

"In syaa Allah, in 2019 we will increase the construction of IAIN Palu building in Sigi," General Director of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Kamaruddin Amin, while delivering speech at the inauguration of two IAIN Palu luncheon building, in Sigi.

Kamaruddin Amin admitted that he is proud of the support of the Sigi Regency Government through Regent Mohammad Irwan Lapatta, who will surrender the land for the development of the campus in Sigi, covering an area of ​​approximately 50 hectares.

Therefore, Kamaruddin Amin feel ashamed, if Sigi Regency Government has given land later then not followed up with development.

"I am as Director of Islamic Education feel embarrassed, if the land given is not utilized, because we will add, and continue the construction of the lecture building in Sigi," Kamaruddin said.

Kamaruddin Amin mentioned that he will try to help IAIN Palu to get the State Shariah Securities (SBSN) for the construction of advanced lecture building.

The construction of two IAIN Palu lecture buildings in Sigi, originated from the thoughts and intelligent work of First Rector of IAIN Prof. Dr. H Zainal Abidin M.Ag in the development of Islamic college of the country.

As a result, the Ministry of Religion gave trust to IAIN Palu through the leadership of Prof. Dr. H Zainal Abidin M.Ag to manage SBSN funds approximately Rp 35 billion, which is intended for the construction of campus 2 in Sigi.

IAIN then held the first stone laying on Friday, June 9, 2017 attended by the Secretary of General Director of Islamic Education at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Nur Syam, Central Sulawesi Governor Drs H Longki Djanggola M.SI, Regent Sigi Mohammad Irwan Lapatta and Rector of IAIN Palu Prof. Dr. H zainal Abidin MAg.

Approximately seven months from June, the construction of two lecture buildings with a capacity of approximately 30 classes, will soon be occupied by students for teaching and learning, after passing the inauguration process as a sign of commencement.

Regent Sigi Mohammad Irwan Lapata acknowledged the construction of the campus 2 State Islamic Institute (IAIN) Palu, Central Sulawesi, will become one of the icon of the area.
